PORT OF VANCOUVER MAINTENANCE DREDGING AND BERTH DEEPENING
Vancouver, Washington

Port of VancouverCoast & Harbor Engineering (CHE) conducted consulting services for Phase 1 maintenance dredging at the Port of Vancouver’s (POV) Grain Terminal and berth deepening at Berths 1 through 8. CHE reviewed historical documents which included pre-dredge surveys, sediment characteristic reports, permitting, and other terminal and berth information. CHE then developed general project criteria for maintenance dredging work in a Basis of Design document, conducted a pre-dredge survey, prepared plans, specifications and cost estimates, and provided bidding phase services. In addition, CHE provided post construction support by conducting a detailed evaluation of post-dredging survey data, analyzing dredged volumes for verification of contractor’s reported quantities and providing post construction survey data plots and as-built drawings.
