ARANSAS COUNTY NAVIGATION DISTRICT NO. 1 MAINTENANCE DREDGING PLAN & FINAL DESIGN
Rockport, Texas

Potential Dredge Disposal AreaCoast & Harbor Engineering (CHE) developed a Maintenance Dredging Plan, studied the sedimentation of the Leggit and Blevins Channels, which connect Aransas Bay to Little Bay in Rockport, TX, performed a final design, and prepared a bid package for immediate dredging needs. The objective was to develop a comprehensive database for maintenance dredging operations, calculate dredging quantities, estimate dredging costs, determine potential causes of sedimentation at the Leggit and Blevins Channels, and determine if there was a feasible solution to reduce the sedimentation at these entrance channels. CHE’s analysis included:

  Data Collection.
  Maintenance Dredging Plan Development.

Channel Sedimentation Reduction Analysis

Final Design/Bid Package Preparation
